Apart from her warm and welcoming presence, not to mention her finely honed culinary skills, the Innkeeper, Rose, is fun to chat with and a font of information. Her word to the wise helped us avoid unexpected (& potentially costly) pitfalls when it came to dinner reservations. And, she was instrumental in helping us recalibrate as we adjusted to island time. The other staff members whose paths we crossed, were equally warm & friendly, but they were also very, very good at paying attention to the small details (details I rarely miss) which help to elevate the Inn to a higher tier.

The property is conveniently located in Harbour Village and lends itself to an easy walk (which we opted to do) from the Ferry Terminal. The interior space has been thoughtfully planned out and BEAUTIFULLY appointed. The veranda beckons with its hanging baskets and a wide an intelligent array of seating options (a welcome change from the ubiquitous pairs of Adirondack chairs that can be tough for those with back issues.) Best of all is the flora - cascading blooms in baskets, succulents (& the odd vinca or two) tucked in palmetto trees, and a wildflower garden teaming with beautiful & interesting native species - a visual feast. In all, The Inn at Bald Head Island exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We are grateful and we will be back.

You can tell the Vicky takes pride in her job. She goes beyond expectations to make you feel at home.

This was our first time meeting Rose and she is lovely. She is friendly, kind, and warm and is a wonderful addition to your team. Dan and Gayle were awesome, as usual. Their stewardship and love of the island shines through in their work. Vickie is tough but also lovely and we enjoy her dry wit and telling it like it is :). Marcy, who we met helping outside, was also lovely and shared some great advice about repotting plants with us. You have an amazing team.

Wonderful, as always. Ten stars. We will most certainly be returning in the near future. We have so much respect for the pride this inn has for its work and how well it has been maintained over the years (we have been coming to the inn for 10 years now and it never shows its age.) We honestly would stay here more often if we could, but since it is child free (and we completely understand why), this limits our availability a bit with young kids :). Since returning this time, several of our friends have asked about staying with you guys and we always say that you HAVE to stay there.

Dan, Gail, and Rose were friendly and we felt totally welcome. They had a diverse breakfast for us, and they based their menu on what we wanted.

It was first class. The facility was very up-to-date. They had anything most people would want - food, diverse beers and wines, great rooms with terraces and water views. It also included a temporary membership to the Bald Head Island club so we could go there whenever we wanted (great golf course, best food on the island). Gail, Dan and Rose had diverse backgrounds and and were easy to talk with. The golf carts and bikes made getting around easy.

All the team members were so kind. Rose was very helpful in getting oriented to the island.

The property was beautiful. Every potential need was thought of proactively, so we were taken care of very well. The wine and apps happy hour is a must! Its a wonderful spread. The staff was kind and thoughtful. We would absolutely stay again!

All of the staff we interacted with was exceptional. Dan was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the onset during the reservation process to check out. Gail was so sweet and pleasant and Vickie was very informative and personable. We enjoyed running into everyone every day at the inn. The relaxed and calming nature of the staff was contagious and instantly made us feel at ease and truly on vacation.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn as a last minute Plan B wedding anniversary trip after our original plans were no longer realistic due to the pandemic, and it by far exceeded our expectations so much that it could easily have been our Plan A if wed known about this gem beforehand! The website actually doesnt do the Inn enough justice and you simply have to see it for yourself! We loved everything about the Inn and its staff. From the home decor, location, indoor and outdoor space, exquisite happy hour, complimentary bicycles, very nice golf cart rentals, and attentive concierge service from Dan and his staff, we were blown away by the hospitality and ambiance. Were so happy we were able to experience the loveliness and charm of this property and everything it has to offer. It was the perfect romantic getaway!

Dan went above and beyond when he gave us a ride back to the Southport ferry on his boat.

We love The Inn at Bald Head! Our room was just beautiful and everyone was so welcoming. The breakfast and cocktail hour was well done and special. The Inn itself is lovely with updated decor. Everything was fresh and new and top notch! We had a wonderful stay and will be back!
